Seoul - Naksan Area & Daehakro

1. Naksan Park
    The Naksan Park is especially beautiful at sunset and night. Since the course is on high ground, you can take in panoramic views of the surroundings below. It is a popular place to bring a date and also famous for its beautiful nightscape. It is frequented by people who want to enjoy the city lights. You can feel the grandeur and beauty of Seoul created by the shining city lights as if they were stars in the sky. In addition, the park is surrounded by fortress wall displaying Seoul's past and present along with its urbanization and nature.

 


 


 


2. Ihwajang
    The former president Lee Seungman and his wife lived in their house called Ihwajang. Ihwajang house consisted of the bonchae, or the main building, which was where Lee Seungman and his wife’s living quarters were, jogakdang(president’s office area) and other buildings. (At the moment it is under repairing and thus does not open to the public.




3. Ihwa Mural Village
    Ihwa Mural Village is located next to the Naksan Park. The local Public Art Committee carried out the Naksan Project in 2006 to improve the local environment of Ihwa Village. Approximately 60 artists painted walls and installed artworks for the project. Visitors to the village can enjoy looking for and viewing the beautiful murals and sculptures in the village.
 




 










4. Daehakro
There is a street called as Daehakro (College Street). Actually there was Seoul National University (now moved). At present, there are lots of theaters and thus young people gather in this area.
