2. Beacon Tower
The torch and smoke were created in the beacon tower for emergency communication needs. There were 5 key towers nationwide, and they all delivered messages to the tower in Namsan as the final destination.
3. Palgakjeong (pavilion) plaza
The plaza is located on top of Namsan. Different works by Korean and foreign digital light artists are installed in the name of Namsan Museum of Light Project. Stage and observation deck are some of the facilities in the plaza.
4. Palgakjeong Observatory
The observatory offers a refreshing open view of the south of Namsan. Wish locks embodying lover's hopes and wishes hang from the fence along the deck.
5. South Fortress Wall
The fortress was built by connecting the city's 4 mountains to protect the capital city.
6. Central Steps in the Seoul Fortress Wall
The steps lead from the fountain plaza (recently on the way of restoring the fortress) to the top of Namsan. The walk takes about 20 minutes, and there is a photo island that offers a landscape halfway up the steps.
7. Jamdubong Photo Island
The scenic spot is located halfway up the steps along Namsan Fortress. It features a full views of Gyeongbokgunhg(palace), Gwanhwamun, Myeong-dong, and rest of downtown Seoul (10 min. walk).
Seoul indigenous trees and plants grow up this botanical garden created in 1997. There is the Wildflower garden with 186 species of wildflowers and 93 species of trees in the eastern section, and there is Paldo Pine Forest with some 80 pine trees in the western section.
9. Round Trip along North-Bound Sunhwan-Ro
The distance from Dongguk Univ. to cable car station is around 3.5km (one way) and it takes around 45 minutes on foot. Especially there are lots of cherry trees and thus the pavement is covered with cherry blossoms in Spring.
10. Southbound Beltway
The distance from Seoul Tower to Namsan Library is around 1.3km (one way) and it takes around 16 minutes on foot. For easy walk, you can take a bus to the top and then go down through this way. All the buses stop in the Namsan library if you want to enjoy the special view of cherry blossoms in Spring or autumn leaves such of maple trees in Autumn.
11. Namsan Cable Car
Namsan Cable Car operates year-round from 10:00am to11:00pm. Riding the cable car provides beautiful views day or night. Arrive in the morning if you want to beat the crowds for spectacular sights of Seoul, or come at night and float the sparking city lights.
Namsan Cable Car operates a free shuttle service that picks up customers from the Myeong-Dong subway station. The shuttle bus leaves once every hour. Look for the yellow and green bus that says, "Namsan Cable Car Shuttle".
This slanting elevator is operated by the City of Seoul free of charge.
It travels from Myeong-Dong to the base of Namsan Cable Car.
You can find the elevator on Sogong-Ro(between Toegye-Ro and the Namsan 3-tunnel, near the Myeong-Dong Subway Station and the Hoehyun Subway Station)

Namsan Tour Bus No. 02, 03, 05 in Chungmuro Station(Transfer from Subway Lines 3&4, Exits No. 2&4), Dongguk Univ. Station (Trnasfer from Subway Line 3, Exit No. 6), Namdaemun Market, Seoul Square, Myeong-dong, Itaewon, etc.
